Part of what bothers me is not being able physically to do all my heart and mind thinks I should be doing. When I rest I feel like I have wasted timed. I sense my rest has become more of a physical action then a rest in Him, only that rest fully renews.
Blogs like yours are so important in their honesty. I appreciate you so much.
It's never too late to rethink, renew and seek Godly wisdom. Thank you for bringing that to the forefront...hugs!Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03458110831930610293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5423318174382795592.post-73199848727586210902011-04-09T16:22:36.381-04:002011-04-09T16:22:36.381-04:00PS: Who of us couldn't use a Rebecca in our li...PS: Who of us couldn't use a Rebecca in our lives? I lack the energy or desire to progress with simplifying my life; my house is wreck, and I'm supposed to be getting ready to go on vacation with husband tomorrow. I have thank you notes to write and schedules to type out for my mother who will be staying with the kids while we're gone.

And here I am... so very tired from this week and all the running around and I just want to cry.

So, you're not alone, sweet friend. Thinking of you and praying that God gives you that "something" you can do to move your forward with your days. I have asked myself these questions and worried about the answers as well.
For me I guess that I have learned that life is a balancing act and sometimes we tumble. As a matter of fact I know that I will. When it comes to my Faith or family or home.
With that being said and knowing in my heart that God doesn't expect perfection from me, I guess I have learned in essence, that there is a time for everything. It may not be when I want or expect it to be but I always find the time for what is necessary when needed.
The one thing that I had lots of trouble accepting and still do, is that I just can't do it all anymore. So I have been trying to learn, however slowly, to ask for help when I need it. It's hard when you're stubborn! Sunday morning service is a "given"; spending time with my husband, communicating with children & grands, then fellowship with fellow believers and preparing for my two Bible studies & a one-on-one come next. Frankly, after that, I don't have a lot more time left. So that means saying "no" to quite a bit :) Learning to be content with what is, not comparing myself with others, and following the promptings of the Holy Spirit re. personal contacts & "good works" keep life interesting and peaceful...

This is the kind of post to revisit frequently. Putting HIM first and being thankful in every circumstance...not cluttering up our lives, but being intentional to follow HIS leading.
Thank you dear friend for this reminder.
