Deacon sings his Z to A's

Here is my grandson, Deacon, age 3 3/4. He's been doing this since he was about 2 1/2 years old. Can you do it?

Actually when you think about it, what's the difference in learning the alphabet song backwards or forwards, if you didn't KNOW it was supposed to be forwards?

Humm, I bet there is a sermon in here somewhere!

Enjoy!

ha ha! I recently made "letter" cutout cookies and while putting them in order in a box I kept TRYING...Nope, I think this granny is too old to relearn the alphabet! I'm glad the youtube finally got posted. I wasted way too much time trying to be "techy"! Thanks Wanda and Shirley for stopping by. The video was made over Labor Day in SC and the chairs were given to my son and daughter-in-law by someone in the church so they'd have something to go with an old hand-me-down table that we carted down there for them! I've been BUSY this last week, much blogger catching up to do...stay tuned...and I'll be by to see ya'll asap!

What a smart boy! He is so darn cute. And no I don't think I could do it without stopping and thinking every couple of letters or so...lol. Thanks for sharing this video of him!

I am so glad you posted that. I remember you sharing with me that he could do that. How adorable! I barely get them right in the correct order..lol.

Thank you "Smiles"...he is a sweetheart...

Thanks Rose...yes, I would have had this up sooner if I weren't so computer challenged!

When my granddaughter saw this (she's 2 months older than Deacon) she said "well I can sing it the RIGHT way!" LOL!

That is great! I loved your little granddaughter's comment. It is so hard to be outdone. I wish I could do it also. :-)

I was listening very closely, and it sounded like he was randomly naming letters in no particular order. That is genius! It's much easier to do it forwards or backwards, but to just randomly grab them out of the air like that is pure rocket science!

And oh, what a cutie pie!!!

This kid is talented! And smart. And cute! Did he just figure it out himself or was he challenged to try it?

He's definitely singing "Z-Y-X-W-V-U-T-S-R" etc. --that's as far as I can go!!! (baby brother got noisy in the background)

His mom taught him the song! She said it was something she and her 3 sisters all learned when they were growing up.

Talk about how hard it is to be "outdone" -- my m-i-l was having a sleepless night a few months ago and she decided to force herself to learn to do it instead of counting sheep! LOL! She's 83!!
