Sextuplets go off to school...
As a follow-up to my post of August 23, '09 "Party of Nine" about Ohio's only sextuplets, please click the link and see the story that was in our local paper this week. And don't forget to check out the pictures.
I'm glad I didn't miss this story. I especially like that residents from an assisted living center did the laundry for the family in the early years of the sextuplets! That's REALLY "assisted living" at its finest, isn't it!
Deb, Brenda, and Rebecca, yes, it is so heart-warming to see some "good" news, and on the front page! I was actually in their neighborhood on the first day of school (my friend lives 1/2 a block from them) and we were outside when we saw the big white van whizzing by, coming home with the children. The fact that they live so close makes this so real and precious to me too...God has just proved Himself so faithful through this family, and through all those in the community who have come along beside to help them! Praise Him!
Words from people who said it better than I could...
"There are two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots, the other is wings." ~ Hodding Carter
"Children make your life important." ~ Erma Bombeck
"You can't go against the grain of the universe and not expect to get splinters." ~ CS Lewis
"Life was meant to be lived." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
"Life is too short not to fully participate in it." ~ unknown
"Don't worry that children never listen to you. Worry that they are always watching you." ~ Robert Fulghum
"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today." ~ Stacia Tauscher
"If you bungle raising your children, I don't think whatever else you do matters very much." ~ Jacqueline Kennedy
"Every experience God give us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see." ~ Corrie ten Boom
"Attitude is a small thing that makes a big difference." ~ Winston Churchill
"When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.' " ~~ Erma Bombeck
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered~
Forgive them anyway!
If you are kind people may accuse you of ulterior motives~
Be kind anyway!
If you are honest, people may cheat you~
Be honest anyway!
If you find happiness, people may be jealous~
Be happy anyway!
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow~
Do good anyway!
Give to the world the best you have and it may never be enough~
Give your best anyway!
For you see, in the end, it is between you and GOD~
