This IS hilarious! So dramatic....Kind of a play on how dramatic "they" make everything sound.
Hey, maybe you already know, but I saw this on one of the men's style blogs I check out now and then - your family's bow ties advertised! http://thecableknitcollegian.blogspot.com/2010/01/bow-tie-in-every-home-around-every-neck.html
As the wife of a meteorologist, this had me absolutely rolling! I'm guessing he's the kind of meteorologist who does that sort of thing on a regular basis. Some guys are just like that and it's usually the only way they can get away with being that dramatic on air. It was certainly funny! I'm passing it on to my hubby :-)
Thanks ALL for the comments. With the weather many of us have experienced this winter, a little levity goes a long way!
Rebekah, thanks for the note about my daughter-in-law's bow tie busimess. She has now hired a woman to help her (another pastor's wife, want to get in? LOL) She's gone global now! I don't know how she has the time. I think I'll blog about it soon!
Words from people who said it better than I could...
"There are two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots, the other is wings." ~ Hodding Carter
"Children make your life important." ~ Erma Bombeck
"You can't go against the grain of the universe and not expect to get splinters." ~ CS Lewis
"Life was meant to be lived." ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
"Life is too short not to fully participate in it." ~ unknown
"Don't worry that children never listen to you. Worry that they are always watching you." ~ Robert Fulghum
"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today." ~ Stacia Tauscher
"If you bungle raising your children, I don't think whatever else you do matters very much." ~ Jacqueline Kennedy
"Every experience God give us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see." ~ Corrie ten Boom
"Attitude is a small thing that makes a big difference." ~ Winston Churchill
"When I stand before God at the end of my life I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.' " ~~ Erma Bombeck
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered~
Forgive them anyway!
If you are kind people may accuse you of ulterior motives~
Be kind anyway!
If you are honest, people may cheat you~
Be honest anyway!
If you find happiness, people may be jealous~
Be happy anyway!
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow~
Do good anyway!
Give to the world the best you have and it may never be enough~
Give your best anyway!
For you see, in the end, it is between you and GOD~

LOL! I needed a good laugh to start the day. It snowed here again... nothing like this, but more than we're used to :(

Funny, but a little scary too!
I wonder if he's always so demonstrative...
I think it must have been a joke, don't you? I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Rebecca, I see I keep spelling your name incorrectly. So sorry. My friend's daughter spells it Rebekeh. I'll try to do better!
Trisha, thanks for stopping by. It was great to have the inside perspective from a meteoroligist's wife!
